Graphite, cut magazine paper, cut photo, oats, and glue on paper

Nature always awes me. I am ever-so smitten by it. So, naturally, I choose is at the subject of my drawing. It is of a humble plant - of which I do not know the name - that lies elegantly in my room. I love the shape and texture of its leaves : the curves, the sleekness, the thickness. The way some hang nonchalantly, some jut out to the side, or, conversely, how some proudly stand tall. They are what attracted me to choosing this particular plant as the subject of my drawing.
